Bio
Captain Denning is the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection (OCMI) and serves as Chief, Eighth District OCS Division. In this role, he coordinates all inspection and investigation activities for Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU), fixed and floating OCS facilities in the Gulf of Mexico. He has previously served as Prevention Department Head at Sector Boston, the Chief of the Coast Guard Investigations National Center of Expertise, and multiple District and Sector assignments. He holds a Merchant Mariner Credential as a Third Mate of Steam or Motor Vessels of any Gross Tons. He graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation, and earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Management from Touro University International.
