Bio
Karel Schnebele is the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Team Lead for Chevron’s Anchor Project in the Gulf of Mexico. She is responsible for the safety of the project team during construction and commissioning and for ensuring that the Anchor Floating Production Unit has been designed to be operated in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
Karel joined Chevron in 2014 as a project manager responsible for environmental remediation of legacy refinery assets. Prior to Chevron, Karel was an environmental consultant at Arcadis responsible for site assessments, remediation, and engineering design.
She graduated with a BS in Environmental Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2007 and received her MS in Environmental Engineering from University of Houston in 2012. Karel is also a Registered Texas Professional Engineer. She currently lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and three sons.
