Dr. Greg Kusinski has over 20 years of industry experience, and has worked in various corporate capacities focusing on major capital project execution, regulatory acceptance and approval, technology development, technology commercialization, and technology deployment.
Dr. Kusinski received B.S. (High Honors), M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering (Materials Science and Mineral Engineering) from University of California at Berkeley where he also completed the Management of Technology program. He also earned an Executive MBA from Rice University with focus on Corporate Strategy and Finance (top Honors – Jones Scholar).
In his current role as a Senior Advisor, Regulatory Affairs for Technology Strategy and Acceptance within Chevron Gulf of Mexico Business Unit, he leads regulatory engagements with BSEE (Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, Department of Interior) on technology qualification and acceptance for deepwater major capital projects in high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) conditions.
Prior to this assignment, Greg served as a Director of DeepStar® and was Chevron Senior Advisor to that organization. DeepStar, the Global Deepwater Technology Development Consortium, has over 25 years of collaborative excellence between over 70 operators, manufacturing and service companies and Universities focusing on Offshore and Deepwater solutions.
Greg was also a member of Chevron Deepwater Area Technology Management Team and Chevron Civil, Structure and Marine Engineering Unit Leadership Team.
Prior to joining Chevron, Greg worked at MMFX Technologies, as a Director or R&D and Production where he was involved in commercialization and production of advanced nano-structured alloy and steel technologies he invented at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Dr. Kusinski holds over 30 patents and had numerous keynote speaking engages with over 50 technical and business journal publications. He delivered a number of invited keynote talks on a broad range of topics from Leadership, Corporate Alliances and Industry Collaboration, Strategy, Risk Management, Project Execution, Technology Commercialization, Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property, Technology Development and Innovation, Deep Water Technology, Continued Service and Facilities Life Extension, Reliability, Advanced Materials and Characterization Techniques through High Strength Alloys and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.
