Karelis joined BHP in 2013 and leads the GOM PU Surface Engineering team promoting a continuous improvement mind-set with an emphasis on Safety, Productivity and Culture. While at BHP, she has led the Oil PU Facilities Engineering team in North America Shale providing surface engineering support to the Permian and Eagle Ford operations and Maintenance teams, was appointed as the GOM JIU Planner and before that an Electrical Engineer supporting offshore operations. With more than 18 years of industry experience, Karelis has worked at companies including Gulf Interstate Engineering, Foster Wheeler and Petroleos de Venezuela.
