Bio
As the Vice President Subsurface, Gulf of Mexico and Canada, Peter is responsible for leading the subsurface organization in the stewardship of hydrocarbon resources including characterization of the subsurface, renewal, development, and production. His teams generate resilient, high value and lower carbon investments at bp’s established production facilities and identify new investment opportunities in the prolific Gulf of Mexico deepwater and offshore east coast Canada.
Peter started his career in environmental science and consulting, including working for the US Army Corps of Engineers. His 24 years at bp include roles across the value chain in exploration, development and production in Algeria, Australia, Egypt, Indonesia, Turkey, UK (North Sea) and US (Lower 48, and GoM). Peter has also held roles in technology, served on the Board for VICO, and VP roles in North Africa and Geoscience prior to his current role.
