Dr. Santiago is an accomplished HSE professional with over 20 years of experience across diverse oil and gas operations. His career began as an environmental consultant and from 2006, he held environmental and regulatory roles within BHP Petroleum supporting production operations, drilling, surveys, projects and decommissioning. Since the merger of BHP Petroleum and Woodside Petroleum to form Woodside Energy in June 2022, Dr. Santiago is the Senior Environment Advisor and Climate Focal Point for Woodside’s International Operations. His technical background includes numerous postgraduate degrees in biological sciences, environmental management, environmental engineering and environmental law.
