Martin Hruska is Vice President of Offshore for the Kiewit Energy Group and Business Line Manager for the Kiewit Offshore Services District, with focus on Offshore Projects as well as fabrication of modules in support of New Energy and Pet-Chem Projects, at Kiewit’s fabrication yards in Ingleside, Texas and Marystown, Newfoundland.
Within this role, Martin leads Kiewit’s “get work” team for the development of market strategy, opportunity identification and key supplier and partner relationships. Responsibilities also include leading early project development including technical and commercial bid proposals, contract negotiation and ultimately securing new work for Kiewit.
Martin joined Kiewit in 2022, but has over 30 years of industry experience having spent significant time in the marine, offshore and energy sectors. Prior to joining Kiewit, Martin worked for Wison Offshore & Marine, Ltd., where he was responsible for identifying and developing floating gas projects which included floating liquefaction, regasification, LNG to power, LNG distribution as well as module fabrication for on-shore LNG import and export terminals. His role supported two Wison yards in Nantong and Zhoushan, China. Before joining Wison, Martin held the role of Managing Director for SBM Offshore’s Floating Gas Solutions business line out of Schiedam, Netherlands. Prior to SBM, Martin was Vice President of Upstream Development and Project Manager for the Lavaca Bay LNG project with Excelerate Energy. Martin joined Excelerate after 18 years with the American Bureau of Shipping where he began as a field surveyor and later moving into business development and management roles, working in various locations in the US, Asia and Middle East.
Martin attended the State University of New York Maritime College where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Naval Architecture and received a US Coast Guard third mate’s license to sail on vessels of unlimited tonnage. He holds an MBA from Webster University in St. Louis.
