After several years as a Partner, Eugenio is currently Senior Counsel at Baker McKenzie Venezuela. He has been practicing law since 1981. His practice focuses on energy and natural resources, local and international arbitration and litigation. He also advises on international family law and inheritance law. He has been traditionally recognized by the legal directories Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.

Eugenio is an elected member (and also a former president) of the Venezuelan Academy of Political and Social Sciences. He is a member of the Instituto Hispano Luso Americano de Derecho Internacional and the International Academy of Comparative Law. He is a full professor of law at Universidad Central de Venezuela, Universidad Monteávila and Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
Eugenio holds a Law Degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Tübingen (Germany) and a Doctorate from the University of Heidelberg (Germany). He is the author of three books and more than two hundred law articles.
