Kevin Lord is the Diving Coordinator for Shell Exploration & Production and serves as the focal point for diving operations in the Gulf of America. With 34 years of offshore industry experience, including 12 years as a commercial diver and leadership roles within the diving contractor sector, Kevin brings a unique perspective spanning field execution, contractor management, and operator oversight.

Today, Kevin leads Shell's efforts to reduce HSE exposure through the strategic application of robotics, ROV-based inspection, and remote intervention technologies. He manages the Gulf of America Underwater Inspection Program and has championed the transition from traditional manned diving activities to safer, technology-enabled solutions across Shell's deepwater assets.

Throughout his career, Kevin has supported complex subsea operations ranging from hurricane recovery and emergency response to large-scale inspection and intervention campaigns. His work focuses on challenging conventional approaches to subsea execution and advancing diverless alternatives that improve safety while maintaining operational effectiveness.
