Speaker Bio
Graduated from French Naval academy (marine engineering) then from ENSTA (naval architecture), I’ve spent 18 years in the French Navy, whilst alternating operational assignments (like Ops Officer on a frigate during Desert Storm operation (Persian Gulf, 1990-1991), Aircraft tasking officer on an aircraft carrier (Ex-Yugoslavia, 1995-1996), Commanding officer of an amphibious ship) and project management (like project manager of the first French naval phased array radar, first French anti-missile infra-red watch equipment, etc..).
Thereafter I joined Total in 2004 to manage oil&gas construction activities, starting with LNG carriers (YEMEN LNG), then in charge of Total Angola Engineering and Construction division (2006-2009). I then joined USAN project (Nigeria) to manage the SURF package (2009-2012). Afterwards I joined KAOMBO project (Angola and Singapore, 2013-2017) to manage the FPSOs (2 sister-ships, 115 KBOPD each) package. After this wonderful experience, I joined the TOTAL E&P audit department (Paris, 2017- 2020) to lead technical reviews of projects at different stages (from conceptual to commissioning/start-up), covering subsurface, drilling, subsea, surface facility, field operations and project economics. This has been a great opportunity to enlarge my technical knowledge and to appreciate the different ways our partners manage their projects (Maersk, ADNOC, NOC, BP). I was then assigned as Deputy Project Manager of ANCHOR deep offshore Gulf of Mexico project operated by Chevron, directly responsible for Very High pressure (20k psi) equipment.
