Russell Ford serves as ABS Chief Surveyor, Offshore, based at ABS’ Global Headquarters in Houston. In his current position, Ford provides technical oversight and input on offshore survey practices and initiatives.

Previously, Ford served as Assistant Chief Surveyor (ACS) for Offshore in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa; led ABS’s Freedom project as Business Solution Manager - a Maximo-based ERP replacement initiative; and held a variety of marine and offshore survey roles around the world.

He graduated Cum Laude from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy with a BS. in Marine Systems Engineering and served 16 years in the U.S. Naval Reserve , earning the Merchant Marine Expeditionary Medal for his service in Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
