Scott holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from University of Illinois in the area of the thermal-fluid sciences. Prior to ExxonMobil, Scott served as an assistant professor on a joint appointment between Murray State and U. of Kentucky. Upon joining ExxonMobil, Scott led the wax research program and fluid properties lab construction. This research branched out further over time to include other organic solid issues such as asphaltene deposition and emulsion formation. Scott has had many flow assurance assignments in research, development, and production. Currently, Scott is the Principal Engineer for Organic Solids in the ExxonMobil Flow Assurance Technology Section.
