RJ Baker joined Oxy in 2020 after 10 years with INTECSEA Worley as an Offshore Project Engineer working EPC for major operators including Exxon, Chevron, Shell, and TransCanada. Over the past five years RJ has worked in Oxy's Gulf of America Operations as a Shut-In Coordinator prior to becoming Shut-In Leader in 2024. RJ graduated as a Maritime System Engineer from Texas A&M University at Galveston in 2011, born and raised in Houston, TX. He enjoys spending time with his with high-school sweetheart wife and their three children, road-trips to 30A, kick-starter board-games, watching UFC, and drinking good bourbon.
