Xavier Connaulte is the Technical Manager of Floating Production Systems and Brownfield Project Services at SBM Offshore. He has 20+ years of EPCI project experience with offshore Oil & Gas production facilities.
Xavier has been with SBM Offshore for 21 years in which he was involved in several projects and management roles, ranging from Engineering, R&D/Technology, Proposal and Estimating, Department Management and Technical Governance, in various locations across the globe (USA, Europe, Asia). Key achievements include the delivery of the Turret and disconnectable BTM buoy of the Stones disconnectable FPSO in the US GOM, the world’s deepest production facility. This was followed by the delivery of several Multi-Purpose Floaters (MPFs), i.e. SBM Offshore’s standardized hulls, while residing in China for four years. He then moved to the Execution Directorate as Technical Manager for the Brownfield Project Services, where he provides technical support and governance to all Brownfield projects on SBM Offshore units.
Prior to being at SBM Offshore, Xavier worked with 2H Offshore as Lead Riser Engineer in both the UK and USA.
Xavier holds a Master degree in Marine Engineering, with specialty in Hydrodynamics, from Ecole Centrale Mediterranee (ex-ESIM, Ecole Superieure des Ingenieurs de Marseille). He had an active part in the release of official publications and patents with SBM Offshore. He is a certified PMP.
