Bio
Leigh Landry is the Offshore Engineering Senior Manager at Murphy Oil Corporation where she leads the Gulf of Mexico team responsible for Production and Facility Engineering operations. She has held various positions within Murphy starting out as a Senior Deepwater Completions Engineer and then moved over to help lead Murphy’s first Eagle Ford Shale development as the Completion Team Lead responsible for the development of Murphy’s completion strategy in this new unconventional play. After the successful startup of EFS completions, she moved back to Deepwater, and was promoted to Offshore Completions & Intervention Manager where she led the Gulf of Mexico team responsible for the planning, engineering and execution of completions, workovers and interventions. Most recently in this role, her team was responsible for the world class execution of the Khaleesi, Mormont and Samurai Completion campaign that produced over 100K BOPD to Murphy’s new King’s Quay facility. In 2023, Leigh was recognized by the Houston Business Journal as an Honoree for the Women Who Mean Business Award in Energy Leadership.
Leigh is a member of SPE and WEN (Women’s Energy Network), has participated as a panelist for SPE’s Subsea Well Intervention Symposium and presented at the Houston IADC on Murphy’s Drilling and Completion activity and strategy. She has also devoted time to mentoring others in the industry, including WEN, the Energy Workforce Technology Council and colleagues at Murphy. Leigh was also selected by Murphy to join their Mission Vision and Values Ambassador program with a purpose to bridge the gap between employees and the executive leadership team as a voice and advocate for her colleagues.
Prior to Murphy, Leigh worked for Halliburton in various Completion support roles and Texaco in the Rocky Mountain region supporting production operations.
Leigh received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tulsa.
