Bio
Renard earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans in 1981, and began his career as an offshore facilities engineer with Chevron in New Orleans, LA. With over 38 years of oil and gas experience, Renard has worked in a variety of project management and engineering roles supporting the design, construction, installation, and operation of offshore production facilities for Chevron. In 2018, Renard transitioned into his current role as Facilities Manager on Chevron’s Anchor Project with responsibility for the design, fabrication, integration, commissioning, and installation of the hull, topsides, and subsea infrastructure for both projects. Renard previously held positions as Installation Manager on Chevron’s Big Foot Project and Floating Production Unit (FPU) Manager on Chevron’s Jack & St Malo Project.
He is a registered professional engineer and serves on the Advisory Board for the Topsides, Platforms & Hulls Conference.
Renard and his wife Karen have been married for 42 years. They have two daughters and five grandchildren.
