The Salamanca development will include the installation of a semi-submersible FPS designed for 60kbopd/40mmscfd/25kbwpd supporting the initial anchor subsea fields of Leon and Castile. Phase 1 will include the FPS, infield & export pipeline systems, production umbilicals, subsea structure & distribution systems and 5 subsea wells at initial production. The approach for the FPS will be unique such that LLOG will be re-furbishing and re-using the existing Independence Hub hull & decks while replacing with new topside production equipment to re-purpose this facility for the Salamanca development.
